 Q: What is the process for getting a review from Leafbound Review?

A: First a book is submitted here https://leafboundreview.blogspot.com/p/submit-your-book.html. Then it is assigned to a reviewer on the LBR team. After the reviewer reads the book it its entirety, a review is written and then edited by another member of the LBR team. The review is then posted on the LBR website. At the request of the author, the review will then be cross posted to other sites as desired. If the initial reviewer doesn't love the book, a second reviewer may pick it up instead. In the event the second reviewer doesn't love the book, we might politely decline to write a review at this time.

Q: How long will the review take?

A: Leafbound review before writing a review reads submissions in their entirety. This means that the review process will likely take a few months.

Q: How does Leafbound make money?

A: As of this second, we don’t really. We do accept donations at our buymeacoffee link.

Q: Can I give money to the Leafbound Review team?

A: You can. Here is our buymeacoffee link.

Q: Do you use AI in the review process?

A: No, a human reads the book cover to cover

Q: What if I don’t like my review?

A: Leafbound first posts the review to the Leafbound website. We will email you at that point to let you know the review is up. If you would like the review cross-posted, just let us know at that point, and we can post to Amazon and Goodreads.

Q: Can I get a second book reviewed by LBR?

A: It depends. We want to help as many authors as we can. If you were willing to be a guest reviewer, that could definitely help secure a second review.

Q: Can I be a guest reviewer at LBR?

A: Absolutely. Email us at Leafboundreview@gmail.com, and we can work something out.

Q: Why was my book rejected for a review by LBR?

A: When LBR assigns a reviewer, sometimes the reviewer finds that book is not a good fit for them. At which point a second reviewer is assigned. If the second reviewer also is not a good fit, LBR will decline to provide a review. This is done in the interest of providing a positive, but honest review. The rejection email generally will not provide much commentary on the reason for the rejection. We don't want to provide feedback where it is not requested. Should you want to hear our feedback, please feel free to reach back out to us.

Q: How do I get my review on a particular website? A: Once we have emailed you to let you know your review is live on LBR you can request it cross posted. We will do our best to put it on that website. We might not have accounts on some of the more obscure review sites, but feel free to test us!
