Another One Bites the Past

Another One Bites the Past is a quirky and fun peek at the behind-the-scenes of the band Queen. The story follows Jim, a band manager, who seems to be quite meticulous in his work. He explains aspects of production in great detail. Behind some of the day-to-day, everything isn’t as it seems. He witnesses a stutter midperformance that no one else seems to notice. He also meets a woman, Claudia, whom he thinks he has met before.

As a fan of Queen, it was fun to see the references to Freddie and the other band members. There is even an appearance of another favorite of mine, David.

The book also poses some interesting philosophical questions, the nature of which I will leave you to discover. The book is a quick read, and the subtle shift in circumstances makes for a fun read. Having finished the work, the premise is great, and I wish I could tell you without spoiling it.
